Hair Transplant

Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery

Patients with complaints such as the onset of hair loss, regional shedding or complete hair loss prefer hair transplant surgery. The aim of the operation is to determine the areas with hair loss and then to make the patient's hair look healthy again after the necessary interventions in these sections. Since the hair transplant operation is performed by interfering with the hair follicles, it can be applied not only to the hair follicles, but also to other areas containing hair follicles on the face such as beard, mustache and eyebrows. Although it is mostly seen in men, women can also experience hair loss and baldness. Along with the developing technology and techniques, this procedure is now performed with the help of local anesthesia, painlessly and without leaving any scars.

Before & After Operation

Before the operation, necessary examinations and controls are carried out by the doctor. If the doctor finds the hair transplant operation appropriate, a hair analysis and then the design process begins, starting from the areas where the person complains. All areas with hair loss are determined and the operation day is determined after the design is completed. Before the operation, the existing hair of the patient is completely shaved and the hair follicles to be used during transplantation are determined according to the hair transplantation technique. During the hair transplant operation, the area to be transplanted is anesthetized with local anesthesia to ensure a painless operation. Since local anesthesia is applied, the patient can express his satisfaction or discomfort by staying in contact with the doctor throughout the operation.

Subtreatments & Techniques

FUE Hair Transplantation:

In FUE (Folicular Unite Ex) hair transplantation method, healthy hair follicles are collected from the areas where the patient's hair is dense. After these collected roots, the operation is completed by applying the transplantation process to the sparse or hairless areas.

Sapphire FUE Hair Transplantation:

It is the process of performing the FUE hair transplant method with a more modern sapphire triple head. The advantage of the sapphire tip is that, due to the collection of healthy hair follicles with smaller needles, the opened channels are much smaller in size and the recovery time is faster. The smaller sized channels opened also significantly reduce the risk of infection.

SLIT Hair Transplantation:

In the SLIT technique, hair follicles are transplanted into the channels opened with the help of very thin blades called SLIT. In this type of transplantation, the correct determination of the patient's own hair direction and symmetry is very important in terms of natural appearance.

DHI Hair Transplantation:

The advantage of DHI (Direct hair implantation) hair transplantation method is that the recovery period is short and it gives the hair a natural appearance. In this type of hair transplantation, hair follicles are taken from the nape of the person and injected into the predetermined sparse or balding areas. Before hair transplantation, both the risk of infection and the recovery time are shortened, since no channel opening is performed in the bald area. Another advantage of the DHI method is that it allows hair transplantation without shaving.

Recovery Process

Since the hair transplant operation does not require hospitalization, the patient can return to his place of residence with peace of mind as a result of the controls performed by the doctor after the operation. 2-3 days after the operation is very important. It is recommended not to come into contact with water on the hair transplant area, to use medications prescribed by the doctor, and to reduce physical activity considerably until the critical period has passed.
